the societies literature is full of references to false gods, other gods, no gods before me, ad nauseum.. the kingdom squalidies also make frequent referals to "other gods".
"feared above all gods is he....".
I now pray to as many gods as possible.
So far I have a couple of items guaranteed to me by a few enthusiastic, eager to win deities.
They are trying to 'outbid' each other.

i've been gone from the borg (organization) for about seven years now, and i'm as anti borg as they come, but for some strange reason, recently, i keep dreaming about the time i started drifting away from the borg.
the dreams places me in the back of the kingdumb hall attending either the first or second half of the sunday meeting.
whenever the meeting was over i would get up and leave.

The JW teachings are no different than other religious teachings; Greek Mythology ...They have no relevance or influence over me or my current life.
I'd imgine a love and belief in something can be influencing just as a hatred for something can beb influencing.
Love and hate are both strong feelings,
I'd say that you may still possibly be under the influence of the WTS more than is necessary, like many of us are here.
If you were not still heavily influenced by the WTS, then you likely wouldn't hate the name Jehovah anymore than the name Zeus.
This is not to say that we are not 'impacted' by our experience. But it shouldn't invoke a strong feeling like 'hate'.

i just told a dub here at work about the letter.
when the dub told me i was on my way out of watchtower-land anyhow, but the blatant hypocrisy just floored me.
okay, so here's how the conversation went:

Typically no one takes the red pill without first being consciously in a state of wanting for answers.
You could show pictures of the GB in army fatigues sticking a boynette into a person and a closed minded JW would scream that the pics were doctored.

what would be the *real* motive then, if not the library card, for the wtbts to become an ngo?
is it possible someone got confused or misinformed that they needed to become an ngo to continue with the library?

Well, nothing is a certainty, but my likely guess is close to what others have already stated here.
That the time when the WTS joined up with the UN as a NGO was a time when communism was falling in Eastern Europe & the USSR.
THe WTS probably thought [correctly] that some political clout would go a long way to establish the WTS as a religoin in these now infant governments/countries if they were a NGO w/the UN.
Being a NGO could deflect some dissenting talk that JW's don't take blood and let memebers die and JW's are politically uninvolved with government.

my mom's nursing home called today to tell me that the doctor recommended that she go on hospice care.
they said she has entered the last stage of alzheimer's and is not taking in nutrients, just liquids.
i'm going there tomorrow morning to fill out the necessary release forms.
